Update Oct 14th, 2021

Update Oct 14th, 2021

As promised here is our update! ‘When’ we can go back to having services the church will be following the provincial mandates, and requirements of the new location. The vaccine passport showing 2 doses is required by all and those not personally known to the greeter will also require a photo ID. The 5th Avenue Senior Center does contact tracing and our sign-up sheet includes room for new members to add in a phone number.  Masks remain mandatory.

Please respect this as we are legally required to follow the Senior Center’s plan implemented. Follow the website and your emails for updates…

Many Blessings, The Ministers and Board of the Spiritualist Church of Salmon Arm

Opening delayed:

Note:  Opening Delayed!

Due to the rising COVID cases in the Salmon Arm area and the vulnerability of our Congregants, we will not be opening on September 19th.  The decision to delay our first service was incredibly difficult but we believe necessary.  The Ministers will continue to send out Sunday services for the time being.

Please stay connected with our website and watch your personal emails for up to date information.  The Board has determined that when we open, proof of vaccination or Medical documentation giving one an exemption will be required as well as the wearing of masks. Please stay safe so we are able to gather again soon. Getting vaccinated is the gift we give to one another.

Many Blessings,

The Minister’s of the Spiritualist Church of Salmon Arm

Ministers of the Spiritualist Church

Of Salmon Arm

 Hello to our Church Family!

We Ministers have some exciting news to share with you. We have found a new home. I feel like engaging a horn section!!

Here are some important facts that you need to know.

  1. The address -170 5th Ave. SE Salmon Arm
  • Date of our first service – September 19,2021

*Healing will be held at 10:30 am

*Service at 11.

Now for some things that have changed.

The Centre has some COVID rules that we will need to follow. The Fifth Avenue Seniors Centre does contact tracing. We will continue to sign in (as we did before) however we will be asking anyone new to provide a phone number. There is hand sanitizer provided at the front door, that we ask everyone to use. For everyone’s safety we ask that unless you have both shots, that you wear a mask.  This may change as public heath orders or protocols of the Center are updated.

Please Note:  As of today, August 22/21, vaccinated or not, masks must be worn indoors in Interior Health. Whether this changes by the 19th is not a certainty.  Please respect this as we are legally required to have a Covid plan implemented.  Follow the website and your emails for updates….

Our new space does come with some limitations.

  1. There will be no coffee time after the service as another group follows us in and we need to clean up and vacate the space.  We hope you will take the opportunity to join with other church members to socialize at our local restaurants after the service.
  • There will be no service the 2nd Sunday of each month, as the Seniors Centre has a public pancake breakfast that day.  It will be great to join them to meet fellow 5th Avenue members and in doing so, create interest for our community.
  • There will be no Tuesday night events as we are reopening in the new location slowly and as safely as possible.

Gloria, Ann and the Colleens!

Ministers of The Spiritualist Church of Salmon Arm

Spring 2021 update

Hi it’s Rev. Lois Gueret here, bringing you a spring update. For now our lovely Spiritualist Church of Salmon Arm will remain closed to gatherings and events, so that all of us are assured the entire congratulation remains healthy.

The Ministers are doing the Sunday service address and taking long distance healing requests. through email. If you have not already done so, sign up for the newsletter.

I look forward to the day in our future, possibly after the summer, where I can update the website telling you the church can open it’s doors again.
